We had a stall with fun feely veg boxes, kids games and two great veg displays. Some great conversations with interested and like-minded people and a new member signed up. FlintShare is spreading the word about local sustainable veg – a great day. Thanks to all who came to help and made it a fun day for all.

Community Gardening at Cilcain

These photographs might not look like much but they are proof of the huge amount of work that’s been ploughed into Cilcain’s community garden recently. The potato and parsnip beds have been dug over and manured, the sweetcorn area has been raked and re-covered ready for planting in a few months, and our lovely new pathway through the brassicas is beginning to take shape!

We had a fantastic day planned for today (15th Feb). Our wonderful CSA planner and planter Rachel Farr and her husband Simon had organised a day of planting a new orchard at the Cilcain site, not only to establish the new trees but also to provide a big welcome to new members.
