Welcome to FlintShare

Welcome to FlintShare

We are a community of like-minded people who are producing food together.

We enjoy growing it, learning about it and celebrating it as a community. We also get to eat very fresh, tasty and delicious local food. Often together!

FlintShare is a volunteer run social enterprise which produces organically grown food with and for its members. We grow on three sites in Flintshire – Cilcain, Northop and Hawarden – which means most members are within a couple of miles of a site.

Come and JOIN US!

Everyone is welcome to join us no matter what their knowledge, ability, age, gender or cultural background. There is a mix of learners and experienced growers so there’s always someone to help out – you don’t have to know anything to be a FlintShare member – we just ask that you join in!

We use organic growing methods and cultivate with due respect to our environment. We try to interfere with the natural processes on our sites as little as possible (which has the added bonus of not too much digging!) and always prefer to use on site resources, rather than buy them if we can.

We run a Veg Account scheme where members can use either time or money to get their share. Members work on the gardens when they can and take a share of the veg when it is available. We have a weekly collection hub at the Northop site.

As well as growing veg we have a LambShare scheme, keep bees, run workshops and gather to share good food, good craic and good company. We also have a weekly newsletter for members to keep everyone up to date with FlintShare activities.

Have a goober round our website to find out more and we look forward to welcoming you to a FlintShare site near you.

CSA is a term coined in the USA and increasingly used in the UK.
